It was good to talk with you, have a safe holiday.

Your description of better views has brought back some excellent memories. I guess it's just the time of year that folks get "Springer Fever".
If the woods are calling you, even now a bit cooler, it's worth it.

Be safe and best to you and the family.

I'm going to suffer the low 70 degree temps in Miami :)

Well hell, I say go for it! When you start your NOBO AT in North Carolina, it's easier from Deep Gap so you don't have to back-track as you know.
You might have some pretty good weather. Might even get a bit of snow. I bet that Hometown would probably jump at the chance to go with you if he's not working.

Best of wishes on your hike. It should be perfect weather. I figure a fire is in order. Take some marshmallows, Hershey Bars, and Graham crackers, they don't weigh much but cool in the outdoors. Maybe a potent potable as well. It's only an overnighter. :)

It took me a couple of days to absorb this post. I am glad you understand, it's just where I'm at. I don't want to expound, but it was time to move on.
The Trail office is morphing back into regular office/bedroom as there are very few things remaining on the floor. I want to get a bed in here to have guests/possible hikers stay.

Yes, I will still shuttling for the next few years hopefully, that and a little Magic will keep me in the loop I guess.

The new Trail I venture is 18 holes or more for now as far as recreation, and that's just fine with me. Hope to persue more catering gigs as well.

Like hiking, you have folks you run into that become very good friends with, these are the ones that don't judge, but support and are straight with you.

Thanks Ronnie
